Grief after losing a loved one to suicide is similar to grief after other types of sudden death however, suicide raises additional complex grief issues because of the sudden and traumatic nature of the death.

There are many places that you can turn to for support following the death of a loved one to suicide.

The Compassionate Friends WA: (08) 9486 8711/17. The Compassionate Friends are a self-help group which offer friendship and understanding to families who are grieving the death of a child, of any age, from any cause.

ARBOR: (08) 9263 2150 or arbor@anglicarewa.org.au. ARBOR  provides an outreach service for family and friends who lose a loved one by suicide and aims to help those newly bereaved to access the support, resources and assistance they need while reducing the isolation often felt at this time.
