Why Leave a Bequest to Living Proud?
A bequest is a meaningful way to continue your advocacy and care beyond your lifetime. Your legacy will help us continue and grow the work we’ve carried forward for over 50 years, including:
- Providing vital peer support. Including our role in the national QLife network. QLife offers connection, understanding and crisis support to LGBTIQA+SB people and their families.
- Delivering community education and training. These reduce stigma and promote safer, more inclusive environments across WA.
- Creating opportunities for visibility, connection and empowerment. Ensuring people feel valued, affirmed, and not alone.
- Advocating for equality and inclusion, amplifying the voices and needs of our community.

Types of Bequests
You can choose the type of gift that best reflects your wishes and circumstances:
- Residual Bequest – The remainder of your estate after caring for loved ones.
- Percentage Bequest – A nominated percentage of your estate.
- Specific Bequest – A fixed amount of money, property, or other asset.
- Whole Estate Bequest – Your entire estate gifted to Living Proud Inc.
You should seek independent legal advice when preparing or updating your Will.
Suggested Wording for Your Will
To include Living Proud in your Will, you may use this recommended wording:
“I give [insert percentage of estate, specific amount, or description of asset (free of all duties and encumbrances)] to Living Proud Incorporated (ABN: 77 119 151 697) of 2 Dehli Street, West Perth, WA 6005, to be used for its general purposes. I declare that the receipt of an authorised officer of Living Proud Incorporated shall be a sufficient discharge to my executor.”
